Benghazi – Tuesday, 23 December 2025 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation held, this afternoon, the General Assembly meeting of the Social Solidarity Fund, as part of efforts to complete the Fund’s organizational structure and activate its social and institutional roles within the Ministry. During the meeting, members of the General Assembly discussed the proposed agenda, which was unanimously approved. The Fund’s Statute governing its operations was also endorsed, establishing a clear legal and administrative framework to ensure sound management and adherence to the principles of transparency and good governance. The meeting also witnessed the election of the Board of Directors of the Social Solidarity Fund, which was conducted in a responsible and democratic atmosphere reflecting a spirit of consensus and institutional discipline among the members of the General Assembly. The elections resulted in the selection of a Board of Directors in accordance with the approved procedures and regulatory rules. The establishment and activation of the Social Solidarity Fund comes in implementation of the provisions of Article 41 of Law No. (12) of 2010 on the regulation of labor relations and its Executive Regulations. This initiative also aligns with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s approach to strengthening institutional belonging, consolidating the values of solidarity and collective work, and improving the social conditions of the Ministry’s male and female employees and staff. Such efforts contribute to supporting job and social stability, enhancing the quality of institutional performance, and strengthening the Ministry’s administrative readiness to carry out its national and diplomatic duties.
