Benghazi – Tuesday, 16 December 2025 The twentieth meeting of the National Committee for Community Schools and Foreign Schools was held on Tuesday, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Hweij, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, with the participation of directors of community schools and foreign schools. The meeting was dedicated to discussing mechanisms for regularizing the status of community and foreign schools, in a manner that ensures their compliance with the applicable laws and regulations, and to organizing the educational process in accordance with the approved legal frameworks, based on the principle of reciprocity. In his address, H.E. the Minister stressed the necessity of full compliance with the legal procedures and regulations governing the operation of these schools, in order to ensure the quality and continuity of the educational process and to enhance the level of services provided to the children of communities, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to regulating the education sector and serving the public interest.
