Benghazi – Tuesday, 16 December 2025 His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdelhadi Al-Hweij, chaired this morning, Tuesday, the thirty-sixth meeting of the Political Departments, as part of ongoing efforts to follow up on workflow and enhance institutional performance within the Ministry. The meeting commenced with the approval of the items presented and discussed during the previous meeting, before moving on to the discussion of the Ministry’s annual report. The report’s key findings and recommendations aimed at developing diplomatic and political work were reviewed. The meeting also addressed the strategic plans of the political departments, with a focus on formulating and developing them in line with the Ministry’s vision and future objectives. Participants further discussed the issue of reassigning heads of sections across various departments and offices, in a manner that contributes to organizing work, raising the level of administrative efficiency, and strengthening institutional harmony within the Ministry. In concluding the meeting, His Excellency the Minister stressed the importance of adhering to the implementation of approved plans and enhancing coordination and integration among departments, in a way that positively reflects on the Ministry’s performance and supports the fulfillment of its diplomatic and national duties in the best possible manner.
