His Excellency the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mr. Adama Barrow, received His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Hwaij, on the sidelines of their participation in the MEDays International Forum held in the city of Tangier. The meeting discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and expanding areas of political and economic cooperation in a manner that aligns with their shared ties and serves the mutual interests of the Libyan and Gambian peoples. Views were also exchanged on a number of regional and international issues of common concern. The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia, Mr. Seedy Modou Njie. This meeting comes within the context of Libya’s active presence in the activities of the MEDays Forum, held this year under the theme: “Divisions and Polarization: Reinventing the Global Equation”, and under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The forum reflects the importance of this event as a platform for international dialogue and for strengthening partnerships among African nations.
