Lyon – 27 April 2026 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government participated in the proceedings of the “GeoFuture” Conference held in the city of Lyon, French Republic, upon a formal invitation from the Euro-Arab Union for Geomatics. This participation was carried out under the assignment of His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Huwaij, where Libya was represented by Mr. Awad Muhimid, who attended alongside a number of officials, university representatives, and research center delegates from several countries and international institutions. In his address during the opening session held at the headquarters of the Auvergne–Rhône–Alpes Region, the Libyan representative conveyed the greetings of the Libyan Government and His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the participants, emphasizing Libya’s commitment to strengthening its presence in international forums, particularly in the fields of geomatics, renewable energy, and economic cooperation between the public and private sectors.
