Benghazi – April 26, 2026 In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Hweij, the National Committee for Community and Foreign Schools conducted a field visit this afternoon to monitor the progress of the final primary stage examinations for Sudanese community schools in the city of Benghazi. The visit included the Electrical Technical College – Al-Gwarsha (girls) and the Sudanese Friendship School – Sidi Hussein (boys), where the delegation assessed the regularity of the examination process and verified the readiness of the facilities, as well as the availability of appropriate conditions for students to sit their exams. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation included H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Al-Zaidi, Acting Director of the Consular Affairs Department; Mr. Abdulghani Al-Aribi, Head of the National Committee for Community and Foreign Schools; and Mr. Abdullah Al-Bakoush, Director of the Libyan-Sudanese Integration Office, along with several committee members. The visit was also attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Sudan in Benghazi, Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Rahmatallah, and a number of consulate staff. During the tour, the committee reviewed the examination process inside the halls and confirmed the availability of appropriate organizational and security conditions, ensuring that students can perform their exams in a stable and well-organized environment. The committee affirmed its commitment to supporting students from the Sudanese community and providing the necessary facilitation to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations, within the framework of the Libyan state’s interest in following up on the conditions of resident communities and enhancing educational and cultural cooperation. This visit comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the National Committee to monitor the examination process and ensure its regularity in accordance with the approved regulations within the State of Libya.
