Benghazi – Wednesday, April 22, 2026 In implementation of the directives of H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Hweij, aimed at enhancing institutional and diplomatic performance, the seventh periodic meeting for 2026 of the Directors of Departments and Technical Offices was held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Benghazi. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Al-Zaidi, with the attendance of the various Directors of Departments and Technical Offices. It was dedicated to discussing the items on the agenda, reviewing the outcomes of completed files during the second quarter of the 2026 work plan, as well as approving and endorsing the minutes of the previous meeting. The meeting also addressed procedures and regulations aimed at organizing and improving the work environment, in addition to reconsidering the distribution of human resources according to specializations and the needs of the various departments and offices, in a manner that enhances administrative efficiency and elevates the quality of performance. During the meeting, a number of visions and proposals submitted by the Directors of Departments and Technical Offices were reviewed, with the aim of developing work mechanisms. Emphasis was placed on establishing practical mechanisms for their implementation in line with the Ministry’s objectives. The attendees stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and integration among the various departments and technical offices, contributing to improving the quality of institutional performance and supporting the advancement of Libya’s diplomatic work.
