Benghazi – Wednesday, April 15, 2026 His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Hwaij, received at the Ministry’s headquarters in Benghazi His Excellency the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharif, within the framework of strengthening government coordination and enhancing integration of efforts among ministries. The meeting addressed ways to develop joint cooperation between the two sides, particularly with regard to enhancing mechanisms of external coordination in labor and rehabilitation files, and supporting Libya’s presence in regional and international forums related to the labor market and human resource development. The two ministers also discussed prospects for benefiting from international cooperation programs and bilateral and multilateral partnerships, in a manner that contributes to supporting the plans of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, improving the efficiency of national cadres, and expanding training and qualification opportunities in line with international best practices. Both sides emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and integrating roles among various institutions in a way that serves the national interest, supports the path of institutional reform, and reinforces the government’s orientation toward building a state of institutions and consolidating the principles of good governance.
