Benghazi – Thursday, April 2, 2025 Pursuant to Resolution No. (233) of 2025 issued by the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government, H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Hweij, chaired on Thursday, April 2, 2025, the eighth meeting of the committee concerned with the regularization of the status of Sudanese nationals. The meeting was held at the Ministry’s headquarters in the city of Benghazi, with the participation of the relevant authorities. The meeting was dedicated to following up on the procedures for regularizing the status of Sudanese nationals residing in Libya. A number of regulatory measures were agreed upon to complete the legal procedures, as follows: First: All Sudanese nationals wishing to regularize their status are required to complete medical examinations through officially accredited الجهات, including the reference laboratory of the Ministry of Health, the reference laboratory of the Development Authority, laboratories of the Red Crescent, in addition to laboratories approved by licensed public or private healthcare facilities. Second: Completion of employment contract procedures after passing the medical examination, through employing entities, in coordination with the Labor and Rehabilitation Offices in the city of Benghazi, in accordance with the applicable legal frameworks.
