Al-Qubbah – Wednesday, 1 April 2026 A broad coordination meeting was held at the Consular Affairs Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the city of Al-Qubbah, with the participation of a number of local officials and representatives of relevant security and administrative authorities. The meeting was attended by Mr. Jibril Bougreeda, Director of the Al-Qubbah Consular Affairs Office; Mr. Ajoida Al-Drees, Deputy Head of the Al-Qubbah Municipal Council; Ms. Mabsoota Al-Mardi, member of the Municipal Council; Mr. Abreek Bousraia, Director of the Office of the Civil Society Organizations Commission; in addition to representatives of security agencies and Dr. Issa Al-Shalwi, Director of the Environmental Health Department. The meeting focused on discussing the situation of international and local organizations operating within the municipality’s jurisdiction, emphasizing the need to accurately inventory them, ensure clarity of their objectives and programs, and assess the extent to which their activities align with the priorities and needs of the region. This is aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of their interventions and achieving the desired impact. The participants also stressed the importance of subjecting the work of these organizations to regular and coordinated monitoring among the relevant authorities, in order to ensure transparency, good governance, and the regulation of field activities in accordance with the applicable legal frameworks, thereby serving citizens and supporting local development efforts. At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants affirmed the importance of continuing to hold regular coordination meetings, in order to strengthen institutional integration and consolidate mechanisms of joint cooperation among various local stakeholders.
