Benghazi – Thursday, 26 March 2026 His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Huwaij, held an expanded meeting this morning at the Ministry’s headquarters in Benghazi, bringing together the directors of various departments, as part of efforts to monitor workflow and enhance institutional performance efficiency. The meeting reviewed the performance of the Department of Civil Society Organizations and International Organizations, where existing working mechanisms were evaluated. The discussion also explored ways to further develop these mechanisms in a manner that strengthens coordination with partners, consolidates an institutional approach aligned with the priorities of the state’s foreign policy, and keeps pace with the requirements of the current phase. The meeting also addressed mechanisms for improving the performance of the Protocol Department, with emphasis on strict adherence to international protocol rules and diplomatic conventions, in accordance with spatial and organizational competencies. This is aimed at reflecting a high professional image of Libyan diplomacy across various official forums and engagements. During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister stressed the importance of strengthening administrative discipline, enhancing performance efficiency, and adopting modern management approaches based on coordination, integration, and teamwork. This, he noted, contributes to achieving the Ministry’s objectives and reinforcing Libya’s presence at both the regional and international levels.
