Benghazi – Monday, 16 March 2026 As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between educational institutions in Libya and Sudan, and under the coordination of H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Huwaij, and H.E. the Minister of Technical and Vocational Education, Dr. Faraj Khalil Salem, the Consul General of the Republic of Sudan in Benghazi, Mr. Abdulrahman Rahma Allah, conducted a visit to the College of Electrical and Electronic Technology in Benghazi, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides. The visit was attended by the Director of the Protocol Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Benghazi, Mr. Adel Al-Farsi. The delegation toured the lecture halls and classrooms to review the available capabilities and facilities of the college, and to assess its readiness to host the Sudanese secondary school certificate examinations. During the tour, the Consul General of the Republic of Sudan expressed his appreciation for the cooperation demonstrated by the Libyan authorities, praising the college’s facilities and level of preparedness, as well as its readiness to receive students and provide a suitable environment for conducting the examinations. It was also agreed during the visit to accommodate approximately two thousand (2,000) displaced Sudanese students, enabling them to sit for their secondary school certificate examinations, scheduled to be held in mid-April. This step reflects the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries and enhances cooperation in the educational and humanitarian fields.
