Benghazi – Friday, 27 February 2026 Mr. Mansour Al-Hassi, Director of the Consular Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, participated in a meeting held by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, along with his accompanying delegation, with members of the Bangladeshi community residing in Libya. The meeting aimed to review the أبرز challenges they face and explore ways to address them. During the meeting, the remarks and demands of the community members were heard, with most of the issues raised focusing on passport issuance and consular documentation, in addition to certain administrative procedures related to legal status and residency. Mr. Mansour Al-Hassi affirmed, during the meeting, the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening coordination with the Bangladeshi Embassy to overcome existing difficulties, and to work within a framework of institutional cooperation to facilitate procedures and improve the level of consular services provided, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This meeting comes within the context of enhancing communication with accredited diplomatic missions and following up on the conditions of foreign communities residing in Libya, in a manner that supports legal and administrative stability and reinforces the existing cooperative relations between the two friendly countries.
