Benghazi – Monday, 16 February 2026 Within the framework of joint governmental coordination, an official meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education, bringing together H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Hwaij, and H.E. the Minister of Technical and Vocational Education, Dr. Faraj Khalil, to discuss the organizational and technical arrangements related to hosting the Sudanese Secondary School Certificate Examinations for students of the Republic of Sudan residing in Libya. The meeting reviewed the necessary measures to provide appropriate educational facilities enabling Sudanese students to sit for their examinations in accordance with the curriculum approved by the competent authorities in Sudan. The examinations are scheduled to be organized at one of the technical colleges in the city of Benghazi, benefiting approximately 2,000 male and female students distributed across several Libyan cities. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the Libyan Government’s commitment to taking the necessary steps to ensure a safe and comprehensive educational environment, allowing students to continue their academic journey under stable conditions. This comes within the framework of Libya’s humanitarian and educational commitments toward the brotherly Sudanese people. The meeting also falls within the broader governmental approach aimed at strengthening institutional coordination among relevant authorities and supporting humanitarian and educational efforts directed toward communities affected by regional circumstances. It reflects the depth of fraternal relations between the two brotherly peoples and underscores Libya’s commitment to the principles of solidarity and regional cooperation. The two sides further emphasized the continuation of technical and administrative coordination among the competent bodies to ensure the proper organization of the examinations and the provision of suitable conditions for their successful conduct in accordance with the applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
