Sabha – Tuesday | February 10, 2026 His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Niger to Libya, Mr. Amadou Mohamed Othman, paid an official visit this morning to the Consular Affairs Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Sabha, accompanied by the Director of the Ministry’s Diwan Office, Mr. Suleiman Masoud, and the Director of the Ministry’s Protocol Department, Mr. Basem Al-Suwei’i. During the visit, key procedures for enhancing cooperation in facilitating consular transactions were discussed, aiming to provide efficient services to the citizens of both brotherly countries, Libya and Niger. The discussions also addressed mechanisms to improve support for the Nigerien community residing in Sabha, ensuring the facilitation of their transactions and the protection of their rights. This meeting comes as part of a series of preparatory meetings conducted by His Excellency the Ambassador in anticipation of opening two consulates of the Republic of Niger in the cities of Benghazi and Sabha, a strategic step to strengthen bilateral relations and expand avenues for joint cooperation between the two friendly countries at consular, diplomatic, and service levels.
