Sabha – Sunday, 8 February 2026 His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Niger to the State of Libya, Mr. Amadou Mohamed Othman, accompanied by the Embassy Counselor Mr. Moussa Taher, and in the presence of the Director of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Sabha, Mr. Suleiman Massoud, as well as the Director of the Department of Public Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Bassem Al-Suwai'i, conducted an inspection visit to the headquarters of the Nigerien Consulate in the city of Sabha. During the visit, His Excellency the Ambassador reviewed the organizational and technical aspects related to the consulate premises. The necessary logistical and administrative requirements for completing the preparation of the headquarters were discussed, in order to ensure its readiness to carry out its consular duties in accordance with the approved legal and regulatory frameworks. This aims to enhance the level of diplomatic representation and the provision of consular services to citizens of the Republic of Niger residing in the region. This visit falls within the framework of following up on arrangements to strengthen the diplomatic and consular presence of the Republic of Niger in the southern region, reflecting the shared will of both countries to develop bilateral cooperation relations and to consolidate mechanisms of coordination and consultation on issues of mutual interest. On this occasion, both sides reaffirmed their keenness to continue strengthening the bonds of brotherly relations and cooperation between the State of Libya and the Republic of Niger, in a manner that serves the common interests of both countries and contributes to supporting efforts toward stability and development at both the bilateral and regional levels.
