Benghazi – Sunday, 8 February 2026 Pursuant to the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the National Committee responsible for granting permits for the operation of foreign organizations in Libya convened today at the Ministry’s headquarters. The meeting discussed and approved the application form for granting work permits to foreign organizations operating in the country. It also reviewed the challenges facing these organizations and emphasized the importance of their compliance with circulars issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, as well as the national laws regulating the work of governmental and non-governmental foreign organizations. This meeting comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to regulate and structure the work of foreign organizations, enhance institutional coordination mechanisms, ensure respect for national laws and legislation, serve the supreme interests of the Libyan state, and contribute to supporting development pathways and strengthening international partnerships.
