Benghazi – Wednesday, 4 February 2026 In implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdelhadi Al-Huwaij, the third meeting of the political departments for the year 2026 was convened, chaired by Ambassador Mohamed Amer Al-Zaidi. The meeting was dedicated to following up on the implementation of the work plans of the political departments, reviewing priority files, and strengthening institutional coordination in a manner that contributes to developing mechanisms for communication and continuous consultation, unifying visions, and exchanging views, in service of the supreme national interests of the Libyan state. The meeting also approved the items of the previous agenda, in addition to the presentation and discussion of a number of papers and topics referred by the competent departments, with the necessary measures and recommendations being adopted accordingly. This meeting is held within the framework of the Ministry’s commitment to consolidating institutional work and enhancing administrative and political performance, in support of the directions of Libya’s foreign policy and in a manner that strengthens its regional and international presence.
