Benghazi – Friday, 30 January 2026 In implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Huwaij, and within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to follow up on the conditions of foreign communities residing in Libya and to enhance channels of institutional communication with them, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation participated today in the celebration organized by the Ghanaian community in the city of Benghazi, on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of its establishment. This participation took place in the presence of the Acting Director of the Consular Affairs Department, Mr. Wael Makhlouf; the Head of the Foreigners Affairs Section, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Kazza; the representative of the African Affairs Department, Mr. Mohammed Al-Akroot; in addition to a number of staff members from the Protocol Department, in accordance with the Ministry’s official competencies related to the affairs of foreign communities. The celebration was attended by the Head of the Ghanaian Community, Mr. Francis Adjei Kerimeh, along with a number of community members. The event reflected a positive atmosphere based on mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, thereby reinforcing the values of cultural and social communication between resident communities and Libyan society. This participation falls within the policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation aimed at regulating the affairs of foreign communities and strengthening communication with them in accordance with national laws, in a manner that contributes to consolidating relations of cooperation and friendship with various countries around the world, and to maintaining societal stability within the Libyan state.
