Benghazi – Tuesday, January 13, 2026 His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdelhadi Al-Huweij, chaired today at the Ministry’s headquarters in the city of Benghazi the second meeting of the Political Departments for the year 2026. The meeting was dedicated to following up on the implementation of the Ministry’s general directives, reviewing priority political files, enhancing institutional coordination among the political departments, and setting executive mechanisms to activate the approved programs within the Ministry’s 2026 work plan, particularly the programs scheduled for the month of January. This meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s sovereign responsibilities and its commitment to strengthening an institutional work approach and ensuring efficiency in diplomatic performance, in line with national constants and in service of the supreme interests of the Libyan state.
